Painting "Ship"

During my pregnancy, I read that contractions are like waves and that you as a ship would float along on the waves to come. That gave me the inspiration to make a small painting, a reminder of my pregnancy.
This painting is made of Mokume-gane, brass and silver, the background is made of cardboard with a wooden frame.
